Indicators for a globally responsible Wales

Wellbeing goals

One of the seven wellbeing goals in Wales is to be a globally responsible Wales. This means “a nation which, when doing anything to improve the economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being of Wales, takes account of whether doing such a thing may make a positive contribution to global well-being” [1]. This includes:

  • Ensuring that supply chains are fair, ethical and sustainable

  • Supporting sustainable behaviour

  • Ensuring that Wales is welcoming, safe and fair to all

  • Efficient use of resources

  • Making the right financial decisions now, to enable future generations to thrive
